Nursery Ministry

The Nursery Ministry exists to provide a safe, secure, and loving environment for all the babies and preschool age children while they are away from their parents. 2 of our nursery workers are licensed and trained caregivers with completed background checks. We also ensure that all church members who serve in the nursery have been background checked.

Nursery care is provided during Sunday School, Sunday worship service, Wednesday night classes, and some of the women's Bible studies and spiritual mothering groups.

Goals:

  • To help nurture our little ones to grow physically and spiritually healthy.
  • To help the little ones learn and experience the love of   our Savior, Jesus Christ.
  • To learn about the heart of each child, how God made them all unique.
  • To help support and encourage the parents.
  • To help the church body get involved with serving these little ones (2 Timothy 3:15, Matthew 18:2-6 and Mark 10:13-16).

Children's ED

Children's ED stands for Children's Evangelism and Discipleship. We believe the Bible teaches that parents are the primary educators of children (Deut. 6:4-9; Eph. 6:4). The role of the church is to equip parents and come alongside them as they evangelize and disciple the next generation of Christians.

Our Sunday morning Children's ED (Sunday School) is from 9:30 to 10:15 am. Classes are taught mainly by husband-and-wife teaching teams from our church membership. We use Answers in Genesis Bible Curriculum, which takes the students through a tour of the major stories and themes of the Bible over a period of 4 years. Our junior high and high school students meet together and study the same lesson. In fact, every student pre-K through 12th grade receives the same Bible lesson so that parents can discuss the lesson at home with the whole family.

On Wednesday nights, children ages 3-11 participate in Adventure Club from 6:30 to 8 pm. This club supplements the Bible instruction children receive on Sunday morning with a systematic theology approach to learning the core doctrines of the Christian faith, while memorizing some of the scriptures that teach each doctrine. Parents are encouraged to stay on campus and either serve in Adventure Club or attend the Bible study for adults led by one of our pastors.

Adventure Club

Adventure Club runs from September through May

Our desire is not only to minister to the children of our church body, but to reach out to the children of our community who may not have the opportunity to be raised in church.

Adventure Club is organized for children to learn and grow in the truth of God’s Word. We have Trackers for ages 3-5 years, Scouts for ages 6-8 years and Trailblazers for ages 9-11 years.

Each club night is structured slightly different as per the age group. Generally, time will be split up in “teaching time” (where the Gospel is presented in various ways), "small group time" (where clubbers discuss the lesson together and memorize scripture) and “game time” (where clubbers play wholesome games for fun!)

Youth Ministries

Jr. High and High School meet for Sunday School from 9:30 to 10:15 am and Wednesday Nights from 6:30-8:00pm. Our youth ministries are led by experienced parents who are able to teach the Bible.

Throughout the year, our youth participate in various fellowship events and community service events.

 VBS (Vacation Bible School)

Every summer starting in June for 5 consecutive Wednesday nights, we host an outreach event for the children and families of our community. We purposely hold the event in the evening so that parents can participate after work. This is an exciting ministry where the entire church can use their spiritual gifts to bring the Gospel to our community.

Men's Ministry

Led by the wisdom and direction of our elders, our vision is to cultivate a men's ministry that by the Word of God, encourages the maturing of men into Christ - likeness through the intentional teaching of God's Word. Our goal is to support, train and encourage men to impact the church, families, friends, and communities for God's glory while providing opportunities for men to grow and serve together. 1 Cor. 16:13 Be on alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

Men’s Morning Bible Studies:

Several mornings during the week, the men are lead through a study of the Bible, relevant to their lives, with an emphasis on understanding and applying God’s truth daily in their walk with the Lord. Check the church calendar for dates and times.

 Men’s Retreats:

Every two years, we have a retreat that gets men out of their normal routines by taking a time away in order to help us connect with each other relationally, spiritually and socially.

 Men’s Breakfast or BBQ’s:

These events gather men together for a teaching of God's Word and fellowship which includes great food, great fun and meaningful encouragement.

Men of Faith Groups

Small groups of six to eight men meet monthly to study the Bible and biblical books together, supporting one another in life application and accountability.

Young Men of Faith

This is a special ministry designed for teenage boys. It normally meets the first Tuesday night of the month.

Women's Ministry

God invites every woman to cultivate an intimate relationship with Him. To cultivate that relationship, He calls them to a life of discipleship.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study Class begin in September and end in April.

It is the Women’s Ministry desire to fulfill the same design in the body that women fulfill in their homes (I Timothy 5:10); as to the men of Living Word Fellowship, fostering love, (Titus 2:4); respect, (Ephesians 5:24,33) and what is beneficial (Proverbs 31:12); as to the children of Living Word Fellowship, nurturing them (I Timothy 2:5 and Proverbs 31:28); and as to other women, meeting their needs (Proverbs 31:20).

The opportunities to grow as daughters of God and serve His church are biblically based and relevant to the needs of women at home, in the workplace, and in their diverse network of relationships.

The opportunities are accomplished through many avenues.

  • Women’s Bible Study
  • Nursery Council
  • Tri - Annual Sisters' Meeting
  • Meal & Shower Ministries
  • Fall Gathering
  • Spiritual Mothering
  • Monthly Teen Girls Bible Study

Check the church calendar or call Ruth Solis in the church office for more information about women's ministry events.

Missions Ministry

We are committed to the worship of God, the equipping of the saints for effective life and service, and the evangelizing of the lost.

Purpose

We believe God desires the local church to be the primary means for sending people to proclaim the saving message of Jesus Christ to people, wherever they inhabit the earth.

Our missions focus on equipping the saints in the areas that we are involved in is to help them be prepared to evangelize their own people.

Our Church has a focus of teaching and training the saints for the work of the Kingdom. We believe we are called to do the same in missions.

If you have a heart for the lost and would like to know more about our Missions Ministry, please contact Elder Ken Hanggi.
